* The goal the Director of Fraternal Operations (DFO) is to create an atmosphere where Masonry in Minnesota can remain viable and relevant.

* The DFO will visit and evaluate each Lodge in the state.

* The DFO will give a detailed report at each meeting of the Grand Lodge Board of Corporate Trustees.

* The Grand Master may require the DFO to represent him at public or private functions. The DFO may sometimes be asked to be a spokesman for the Grand Master but carries none of the Grand Master's authority.

* The DFO may be asked to perform liaison functions with other Masonic bodies.

* The DFO will evaluate Grand Lodge Committees, District Representatives, Area Deputies and programs, making appropriate recommendations to Grand Lodge.

* The DFO may organize and coordinate special programs for the Grand Lodge by request of the Grand Master.

* The DFO will create and develop ideas for new membership and retention.

* The DFO will encourage and teach good leadership concepts at all levels of the Craft.
